Position Description
Multiple postdoc openings in the Li Research Group at the University of Washington. The project will focus on computational method development, including many-body relativistic theory, nuclear-electronic orbital theory, and quantum dynamics. Scientific applications aim to understand defect properties in nanomaterials, heavy-element chemistry and spectroscopy, ultrafast reaction dynamics in transition metal complexes, and quantum proton transfer in complex environments.
Required Qualifications
PhD degree in quantum chemistry, quantum physics, or computational spectroscopy
Research experience in quantum chemistry and electronic structure theory development
Experience with scientific programming (MPI, Fortran, Python, C++)
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
Ability to adapt to new requirements for projects and be flexible enough to learn new areas of research as needed.
Ability to work effectively as a part of a team in a multi-disciplinary multi-institution environment and interact with people with a variety of expertise

- Salary: $5000 – $5500/month
